Today I am all about tea!

Certainly there is no denying…

I LOVE to drink all kinds, frequent tea rooms, host tea parties at my own home and hold tea drinking events other places like gardens, parks, gift shops, retirement communities, and even garages. Experimenting with flavors to make home brews is a new found delight. And of course, I love to talk and write about tea. So much the latter that I wrote a book about it. Then I wrote a second book about tea, for children. Next I’m gearing up to write yet another book. It’s going to be tea-vana! Stay tuned!

I live in Jefferson, MD with my husband, out in the countryside with lots of breathing space. In my spare time it is wonderful to ride in his antique cars and go touring. We have many friends who also take time for this special hobby, fun-loving people who know how to enjoy life to the fullest. All it takes is one leisurely ride in a 1926 Chrysler Roadster on a shady back road to get you hooked! There might even be a thermos of delicious hot or iced tea waiting for us in the rumble seat.

Featured Teapots

My collection of teapots is full of variety. If you really think about it, any ‘thing’ can be designed into a teapot and ultimately is the product of someone’s imagination. But in my collection, there are a few that I elevate to ‘favorite’ status. It only felt right to share some of them with you.

“The Favorite”

My ultimate favorite is a teapot gifted from my Mom. She has gifted many teapots to my collection over the years, enjoying the hunt to find special ones. Moms do have great taste! It pours beautifully, has four matching cups & saucers and is so elegant that friends often request to use it at tea parties. It’s a Royal Danube, which I guess is a knockoff of a Royal Doulton, but I could care less about name brand pedigree – this teapot gets rave reviews, always!
